Studio L is the first Bungeefit studio in the North of England to have instructors professionally trained in the UK and one of only a handful of dedicated Bungee Fitness Studios in the United Kingdom.  We are situated in Atherton, Greater Manchester.

Aerial bungee technology has been used for many years in theatres and circus shows, the original bungee classes were developed in Thailand and quickly picked up by organisations in the USA and The Netherlands. Up to now all the certificated training had to be done in these countries but now it is being offered in the UK and our owner was one of the first to qualify.

Our equipment is state of the art, the bungees are manufactured to order in the USA, ideal for high impact fitness workout, strength training and advanced aerial acrobatics. They include a built-in static safety line which halts the elongation at a precise point regardless of overloading or even bungee failure, ensuring the user won't incur a ground collision injury

Harnesses have been designed and developed in the UK, they are the most comfortable and purpose-built harness on the market

We offer complete beginner courses, advanced training, HIIT classes and double bungee workshops which take place once a month....we also offer one to one private sessions, or small groups...We also have monthly taster sessions..... contact us for further details...

WHAT IS AERIAL BUNGEE WE GET ASKED.....

Aerial Bungee is a form of exercise that has low impact on the joints, the shock absorbing nature of the bungee reduces the impact throughout the body and means that you can enjoy a high intensity cardio workout without it being high impact. It also reduces the risk of injuries occurring due to repetitive strain and opens up the exercise to people with existing injuries or even arthritis.

It is also supportive which enables people with physical limitations to feel comfortable.

It is for all ages and sexes too 

Bungee fitness has toning elements and cardio vascular elements. This depends on the level of the session being attended. It improves mobility, balance and co ordination...As you are constantly on the move, you are doing means that the low intensity exercise activates and burns stored fat as well as building muscles

How many press ups can you do ? None is the answer we hear a lot.... Even after one session you will be able to master them

It also can give you a momentary feeling of flying so you can be a superhero for a short while....


HULA HOOP

Studio L is now offering Hula Hoop lessons and occasional workshops

Beginners Course

A structured course to enable the basic moves to be learned and then put into a routine. Must have at least 2 people booked on or will not run Certificate awarded on completion

SIMPLY HIIT

A HIIT class.... no moves are taught during this class so you need to have an understanding of the basic and improvers moves Must have more than 2 people booked on to run

CORE

Monthly classes for clients who have finished the basic course.. This is all front bungee work Must have more 2 people booked on to run

STRETCH IT OUT

A stretch class to improve flexibility on the bungee... this is all floor work Must have more than 2 people booked on to run

Bungee Gold

A gentle introduction to Bungee Fitness for anyone over 55, who feels that a normal class is too intense. The exercises have been adapted and can be further changed to suit once your ability has been assessed Must have more than one person booked on to run The owner and instructor of Studio L is in her 60's and qualified as an instructor at age 60 !!

Hula Hoop Classes and Workshops

We run monthly classes to learn the basic moves and occasional Saturday workshops with a guest instructor Must have more than 2 people booked on to run

Workshop

Available to members that are comfortable going upside down and have finished the basic 3 week course A General session to practice double bungee moves... limited to 6 people per training session Spreader Bar Using 2 Bungees per person, a chance to master flips Ab Control

1 : 1 sessions or 1:2 or 1:3

A 1:1 or 1:2 or 1: 3 session This will teach basic moves if you are a complete beginner or can help advance you if you have experience If you are self conscious yet still want to try out Bungee, we offer one to one private lessons, Tuesday, Friday and some Saturday mornings... ... contact us for availability

GROUP SESSIONS

Fancy giving it a go with your friends, you can hire the studio for 75 mins at a cost of £25 per head. There must be 2 or more people per booking A MAXIMUM OF 8 attendees Contact us for further details

Bounce Back to Fitness... Bungee Style. NOT CURRENTLY RUNNING

This is aimed at people who have not exercised for a while. It will become more intense as the weeks progress but will not be as full on as a Beginners Course NOT CURRENTLY RUNNING

Studio L New Customer Waiver

I, the individual (“Participant”), in consideration of my participation in the activities sponsored, provided by, or affiliated with Studio L (“Company”), including, but not limited to classes, workshops, lessons, personal training, individual direction, parties and all other uses of Company’s facilities, fixtures and equipment, whether or not taking place at or upon Company’s premises (“Activities”), hereby acknowledge and agree to the following terms of this Waiver of Liability, Medical Release and Authorization (“Waiver”).

Participant acknowledges that participation in the Activities may include exercises which are physically demanding and may subject the Participant to stress, anxiety, hazardous situations. Participant understands and agrees that the Activities involve an inherent risk of severe personal injury. Participant agrees that he/she, on behalf of Participant and Participant’s heirs, executors, administrators, or other personal representatives who may have standing to assert a claim on behalf of Participant, hereby expressly, voluntarily and without condition waives, releases, and forever discharges Company and Company’s owners, managers, officers, instructors, employees, representatives and agents (“Releases”), from any and all liability for personal injury, death, damage to property or loss of any kind resulting from or arising out of Participant’s participation in the Activities, regardless of the cause of such injury, loss or damage; provided, that such cause is not the result of or does not arise from the intentional misconduct of Company or Releases. Further, Participant assumes full and complete liability and responsibility and shall reimburse Company for any damage or injury to others or to Company’s facilities caused by Participant.

Participant represents that he/she is in satisfactory physical condition to participate in the Activities and understands that participation in the Activities is a voluntary decision made by Participant with knowledge of the risks attendant thereto. In lieu of providing a medical release from a doctor authorizing the participation of Participant in the Activities, Participant hereby represents that he/she has no knowledge of any physical or mental impairments, diseases, or other medical issues which could affect Participant’s safe participation in the Activities.

Participant agrees that the Company and its owners, managers, employees, instructors, representatives and agents are authorized to act for Participant according to their best judgment in any emergency requiring medical attention, including administration of first aid procedures, and Participant hereby waives and releases such persons from any and all liability for injuries, illnesses, or losses caused by or arising from said actions. Participant further authorizes medical transportation, at Participant’s sole expense, to a medical facility or hospital for treatment.
I understand that participation in Studio L classes may involve a degree of danger and that this risk cannot be eliminated without compromising the essential qualities of the activity.
I confirm that I am aware that participation in the activities may involve the following risks: sprained muscles, bumps and bruises, falls from height and associated collision injuries.
I have provided details of any medical conditions that could make participation in this activity dangerous for myself or others and I am aware of the situation regarding COVID 19. If TRACK AND TRACE proves I have been in contact I will isolate and follow government guidelines.
I understand that it is my responsibility to arrive at the venue on time and to leave adequate time for the journey. Studio L cannot accept any liability for information from third party sources; classes start promptly at the times listed by Studio L. For safety reasons, latecomers may not be allowed to join the class.
I agree that any photographs or video taken of me and other participants during the classes may be used for promotional purposes for similar Studio L services in the future. These images and video content will not be shared with third parties for anything other than our own promotion.

I WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me including my traveling to and from this activity, The following entities or persons: Any qualified instructor employed by Studio L

I INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE the entities mentioned in this paragraph from any and all claims made as a result of participation in this activity, whether caused by the negligence of release or otherwise.

Where can I park ? There is free parking situated at the Mill 

What should I wear to Bungee ? We recommend that you wear 3/4 or full length exercise leggings or jogging bottoms (you can get very warm in these though). Wearing padded cycling shorts over these can be helpful if you find after one class the harness is uncomfortable.... expect to get a few bruises at the beginning....


Bare Feet and Trainers are not allowed on the grey studio floor for health and safety reasons

Yoga or Trampoline socks with the grippy bottoms should be worn
These can be bought from us

A long top that covers the stomach, as when flipping the harness can ride up.



Please ensure you have no loose clothing or dangling jewellery as this can get trapped especially when you are upside down !!

Weight Limits ?   we have a limit of 7.5 stone  47.5 kilos   up to 16.5 stone 104.5 kilos  This has been set by structural engineers when the studio was surveyed and the equipment installed

Is there an age limit ?... no.. as long as you are inside the weight restrictions

Should I bring a drink ? Yes, you can keep your drink alongside you during class 

What happens if I am late for class? Unfortunately at night, we have to lock the fire door, this happens 10 mins before the start of a class, so please allow plenty of time.

We spend the first 5 mins of a class harnessing up so this can be used as grace time FOR DAYTIME CLASSES ONLY but any time after this we will not be able to let you in.

If you know you are going to be late (stuck in traffic etc) please call the studio 


Cancellation and Refunds We need 48 hours to be able to transfer to another session. This gives us the opportunity to offer the session to someone who is on the waiting list.

For refunds WE NEED 7 DAYS NOTICE BEFORE THE START OF THE COURSE/SESSION and there is an admin charge of £3 per person

If a cancellation/transfer of a class/course has been made, the refund policy is no longer valid.

We use an online payment processor who charge for every transaction. It can take up to 10 days for them to process a refund request. Payments you make to us take from 7 to 10 days to arrive in our bank
